Polar Manufacturing is responsible for making covers for Latchways’ WinGrip product, a vacuum anchor fall protection system used primarily during aircraft maintenance. The hard wearing cover protects the product and enhances it aesthetically.

We designed and machined an aluminium highly polished female mould tool in-house straight from 3D CAD data supplied from the client.

The part is laminated in prepreg carbon fibre with the key detail CNC machined before being coated in a high clear gloss lacquer.

Following approval of the initial component, Polar has an ongoing fulfilment with Latchways. Our attention to detail in the manufacture of each cover as well as rigorous inspection ensures consistent quality.

Due to the ongoing volume production, planning, repeatability and efficiency, we can provide a cost-effective solution for our client.
